::Nethanna Nestham::

1.YSR Nethanna Nestham” is a Financial Assistance Scheme by the Department of Handlooms & Textiles, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The objective of the scheme is to help the Weavers to modernize their equipment and compete with the products from the polwerloom sector, ₹ 24,000/- will be provided to every Weaver family who owns a Handloom. The scheme is applicable to all Handloom Weavers who are actually engaged in Handloom Weaving and eking their livelihood from Weaving.

• For the year 2023-24 Nethanna Nestham launching programme was conducted at Venkatagiri and distributed a mega cheque of Rs. 5,29,20,000 to the 2205 beneficiaries by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of AP on 22-07-2023.
• Pension Kanuka – Pension Kanuka” is a Social Security Scheme by the Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Department, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. The objective of this scheme is to ameliorate the hardships of the poor and vulnerable sections of society particularly the old and infirm, widows, and persons with disability to secure a dignified life.

The Govt of AP is distributing weaver old age pension to the 1254 eligible weavers who completed the age of 50 years @Rs.3000 per month, covering total amount 37,62,000 by the village volunteers at their doorsteps.

Weaver MUDRA scheme:

Weaver MUDRA scheme offers financial assistance to handloom weavers involved in weaving activity through weaver’s credit card or term loan.

The bankers in the Venkatagiri area have extensively sanctioned 101 weaver loans under the weaver Mudra Scheme to the tune of Rs.2,54,00,000/- for the upliftment of weavers.
