Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC)

Profile

               Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) is one of the largest ‘Skill Missions’ in India. APSSDC is established in 2014 and serving as ‘Executive Agency’ for implementing skill development activities under the ambit of Department of Skills Development & Training (SD&T). APSSDC has also mandated to standardize & monitor the skill development activities being implemented by various corporations/ departments across Andhra Pradesh.

               APSSDC is determined towards creating high quality skilled manpower in line with the requirements of industries through various skill development initiatives. Through these skill development initiatives across the state, APSSDC covering wide range of beneficiaries such as school students, graduates, post-graduates, unemployed youth, school & college dropouts, women etc. for creation of better employment and livelihood opportunities. Apart from the state funded skill initiatives, APSSDC is also implementing various centrally sponsored schemes such as, PMKVY, ESDM, Jal Jeevan Mission etc.

Organization Structure

               Chaired by MD&CEO at Head Office and program implementation at district level by District Skill Development Officer (DSDO) under the District Collector & Chairman, Tirupati –District.
