The Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (APSWREIS) under the patronage of the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Andhra Pradesh has been passionately and impeccably rendering its services from 1983 to improve the standards of life of the Marginalized students by providing them with quality and sustainable education in English medium from Class V to Intermediate (XII). The Society have 189 institutions and 3 specialized institutions for IIT NEET coaching is sheltering around 1,16,000 students. The APSWREIS due to its invincible position in global public residential education map, continues to attract educators from different parts of the country and the world every year. APSWREIS with 1,16,000 runs institutions under different categories such as Non Upgraded (class V to X), Upgrades (class V to Intermediate) and Junior College (Junior and Senior Intermediate) covering both arts and sciences. The APSWREIS team comes with an advantage of more than 4 decades of experience in residential education system with well-trained and experienced teachers who play a pivotal role in molding students as socially responsible citizens.
There are 10 upgraded Dr. B.R.Ambedkar Gurukulams out of which 06 Girls and 04 Boys are functioning in Tirupati District. 08 Institutions having 02 sections in each class and 02 institutions having 04 sections at Sullurupeta for Girls and Naidupeta for Boys. All institutions are situated in Government buildings.

The amenities i.e., Trunkbox, Bedsheets, Carpets, Plate, Glass with Katora, Text Books, Note Books, Stationery Items, Uniform, Shoe & Socks have been provided to each student.
Diet, Cosmetic and Hair Cut Charges
The Diet charges, Cosmetic charges and Hair cut charges are enhanced vide G.O.Ms.No.8, Social Welfare (SW.EDN.2) Department, Dt.20.02.2023 w.e.f.01.06.2023.
- 1,250/- to Rs.1,400/- pm Expenditure on Diet charges to V to X Class boarders.
- 1,400/- to Rs.1,600/- pm Expenditure on Diet charges to Residential Colleges.
