The Office of the District Agri. Trade and Marketing Officer is the District Unit Office and monitoring the functions of 12 Agriculture Market Committees in Tirupathi District. Every month the District Agri. Trade and Marketing Officer is reviewing the works of Secretaries, Agriculture Market Committees in Tirupathi District and concentrating on the Market Fee Collections by the Agriculture Market Committees in the District. Due to review and hard work of the Departmental Officials the market fee income of the District is increasing year by year.
Rythu Bazaars
To Eliminate the Middle Men farmer and consumers and to get better prices to farmers and to get quality of vegetables to consumers, the Rythu bazaar with an extend of 0.90 Acres, Tirupathi Rythu Bazaar was established on 2004. The New RBZ’s Gudur will be opened on 19-07-2023 and New Rythu Bazaar, Tiruchanur shortly open. Since the Establishment the Rythu Bazaars is useful to farmers and consumers and it is also using for Market intervention Scheme.

Storage of Godowns
There are 37 Nos of Godowns with storage capacity of 34,300 MTs. The Occupancy of 29 Godowns with 26,800 MTs. There are 400 Paddy farmers stored their produce. Remaining 8 Vacant Godowns with 7500 MTs in the Agriculture Market Committees of Tirupathi District
Income and Expenditure
The Main source of income to Agricultural Market Committees in the District are Market fee on transactions of commodities. License, Check post fee and Rents are another source of income. The income to be spend on Pay & Allowances, Maintenance of Market Yards, Welfare Schemes and Developmental works.
Publicity Propaganda
The Agriculture Market Committees are giving wide publicity regarding MSP Prices of Commodities and Marketing Department activities among the farmers through the Erect of Flexi boards at RBKs, Offices of MPDO, Tahsildar, Agricultural Office, Major Gram Panchayats and Main centers of towns and Mandal Headquarters etc., and also giving publicity through wall posters and Pamphlets etc
Market Fee Collections
The Market Committees are collected Market Fees @ 1% on the sale of Agricultural Produce and Live Stock. The Income is received through Check Posts, Assessments of Accounts, Transactions is in the Market Yards and from F.C.I. The Target of Market Fees for the District for the year 2023-24 is Rs. 2102.00 Lakhs. The Cumulative Achievement of Market Fees up to MARCH-2023 is Rs.2165.10 Lakhs in 103%.
The Target of Market Fees for the District for the Financial Year 2024-25 is Rs.2324.00 Lakhs. The Cumulative Achievement of Market Fee Collections Up to MAR-2025 Rs.2247.65 Lakhs in 97%.
