ANDHRA PRADESH MICRO IRRIGATION PROJECT (APMIP)

Profile

    • The Government of India have formulated a scheme “Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana” (RKVY) – Micro Irrigation under Per Drop – More Crop with a special emphasis on soil and water conservation, water use efficiency, soil health management and rainfed area development.
    • The Concept of “Per Drop – More Crop” can be achieved to realize optimal benefits to the farmers.
    • The Project is being implemented with the Assistance from Government of India, Government of AP., and along with farmer contribution.
    • Project is being implemented in 5 sectors i.e. Horticulture, Agriculture, Oil palm, Sugarcane & Sericulture.
