  • PMKUSUM Scheme: Feeder Level Solarization

Government of Andhra Pradesh has been at the forefront in promoting renewable energy and has made significant strides in harnessing the solar power. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has recently given Shapath Patra to the MNRE, Government of India, during RE-INVEST 2024, committing itself, to add 72.60 GW Renewable Energy capacity in the state by the year 2030.

The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh has formulated an “Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024” to maximize RE capacity addition and proposed certain incentives therein. Under the policy, it is proposed to encourage both large scale and decentralized Renewable Energy generation in the State.

APSPDCL was proposed to solarize 600 agriculture feeders which will enable daytime power supply to the agriculture pump sets under these feeders. In Tirupati district total 11KV feeders targeted for solarization is 135Nos. out of which for 54 feeders land also identified to provide solar panels.
