Profile
The main objective of the Intermediate Education is the nodal agency of the Government of Andhra Pradesh responsible for promoting the students for growth through the development of education in public sector government funded institutions. It plays a central role in facilitating Dokka Seethamma Madhyahna Bhojanam, Ammaku vandanam etc.,
Core Functions
- Introduce the Dokka Sethamma Madhyahna Bhojanam to the Intermediate students
- An amount of Rs.15000-00 for each student as Ammaku vandanam
- Free Text Books to students who are studying in Intermediate at Govt. Junior Colleges
- Free Note Books to students who are studying in Intermediate at Govt. Junior Colleges
- Free Record Books/Materials to students who are studying in Intermediate at Govt. Junior Colleges
- Eamcet materials to students who are studying in Intermediate at Govt. Junior Colleges

Awareness programmes on Personality Development, Communication Skills and Career Counseling, Study Skills in all Govt. Jr. Colleges in the district.
- Awareness Programmes on a) Drug Abuse, b) Cyber Crimes, c) Eve Teasing, d) Women Safety App. etc. 2) District Youth Festivals, 3) International Youth Day & 4) Formation of youth groups
- Observance of Important Days (OID) as per Calendar Events issued by the Government the programmes will be organized.
- Implementation of the Dokka Seethamma Madhyhana Bhojanam scheme for the intermediate students in Government Junior Colleges to improve attendance and results.
- Under Talliki Vandanam scheme, financial assistance of Rs 15,000/- will be provided for all Intermediate students of Government Junior Colleges.
- Under Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan Vidya Mitra scheme, Free Text Books, Record Materials, Note books EAMCET books are being supplied to all intermediate students in Government Junior Colleges in the district.
- To strengthen Infra Structure and transform the existing infra structure of the colleges Mana Badi – Mana Bhavishyathu programme is being implemented.
- Rationalization of Instructional Periods and Timing schedule by enhancing the working hours (College timings) from 09-00 AM to 5-00 PM to develop the academic standards.
- Issuing of progress cards to the students. Conducting Parent- Teacher meetings once in a month are being done regularly.
- Introduction of Care taker system for close tracking and monitoring of attendance of the students. This systematic approach aims to support student’s academic journey and engage the parents in the educational process.
- Green Chalk Boards are being utilized for class room purpose.
- Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs) are also being utilized for class room purpose.
- College working days are enhanced from 220 to 235 days in the academic
- Conducting of NCC and NSS programmes as per the schedule in Government Junior Colleges.
- Observing Swarna Andhra -Swatcha Andhra Themes on 3rd Saturday of every month.
- Student services like Generation of APAAR IDs to students, utilization of DigiLocker, Mana Mitra WhatsApp services (Mobile Number: 9552300009), are being effectively made available to students.
- Preparing staff members and students for programmes like Yogandhra etc.
