Profile

                The Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) was constituted vide G.O.Ms.No. 1178 MA&UD Department dated:06-11-1981 under A.P Urban Areas Development Act-1975 with an object to promote and secure orderly development of the areas comprised in the jurisdiction of TUDA according to Plan.

                As per section 142 (a) of the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016, The Andhra Pradesh Urban Areas (Development) Act, 1975 (Act 1 of 1975) was cancelled and the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 came in to force.

                Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 is an Act to Provide for the Establishment of the Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities for the purposes of Planning, Coordination, Execution, Supervision, Financing, Funding and for Promoting and Securing the Planned and Sustainable development of the Development Area and for Matters Ancillary thereto.
